CROSS COUNTRY VETERINARY

Medical Conditions

Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation

This is an area that your animal also benefits from the correct diagnosis and specific tailored plans. Many different kinds of diagnostic imaging is available, from radiographs to ultrasound. Sometimes, different modalities are used to detect specific problems after the initial and follow-up examinations. Your veterinarian will decide the best diagnostic and treatment plans. When rehabilitation starts, knowing how hard or how long to ride your horse, is critical to allow proper healing time. If the protocol is not followed, relapses and lost time can occur. This is why ancillary treatment (pain control, reducing inflammation, muscle building, warm-up, and other physical therapy) will produce better, long lasting results. We work closely with our clients during this critical time.
